Anyone really looking forward to Adobe cs4 products? What are your opinions?

Let's converse smile.gif

~~

I have been looking to the new features quite a lot now for Photoshop, Flash and a few other softwares and let me tell you.... Simply put... amazing. Like I mention on a conversation with eric a while ago, the interface is not quite to my likings but just to be able to use the new features kinda throws the UI aside.

Well now is your turn.

Photoshop CS4 is adding OpenGL rendering so now if you have a good graphics card you're perfectly setup for fast effects in high resolution.

Flash CS4 is gonna improve ActionScript for sure and that can only be good for being able to use video. I hope they add OpenGL rendering to Flash player so that I can stop getting one full core being totally used up by Flash running at 1920x1200. I can totally play 300 Bluray in Media Player Classic using about 3% CPU but when it comes to watching a 320x240 flv file upsized to 1920x1200 in Flash I get screwed. What's up with that?

Dreamweaver CS4 is finally adding subversion support but I am indeed disappointed about the prospects of the application getting even more bloated. I'm tired of Dreamweaver being all about making things easy for people who don't know webdesign.

I'd rather use a Dreamweaver Lite that Adobe will never release. Only features I want:
-File Browser with CTRL+SHIFT+U hotkey to upload file currently working on and CTRL+SHIFT+D to download from server over SSH.
-Tabs
-Customizable quick search field to setup reference sites (PHP.NET, Prototypejs.org, Google)

And does it really take 150MB to run something like this? No.....

Honestly? I think it is going to be a waste getting it unless you are into some serious print work. Billboards and such come to mind.

completely agree!

Not sure if you notice but the "bone" feature is quite great too. I can already imagine the possibilities...

Had no idea that Flash CS4 featured IK. I'm now very enticed to go check it out.

Not sure sparked but I don't think we should discuss that here since it may lead to illegal external sites wink.gif *wink*

But staying in topic, I am currently using the 30day trial I have about 18 days left. So far CS4 seems okay but not worth switching over! The tabs are nice but I haven't been greatly impress so I wouldn't switch.

I thought I agreed with that until my web design class.. look at all the garbage people made using dreamweaver here: http://irv.cs.uwec.edu:8080/CS318/students/ (look at the major project folder under peoples names)
ROFL... 95% of these are just TERRIBLE haha, and this is a level 300 college course.

But yea.. its lame that I spent countless hours learning html and now people can click a button, fill out a few fields, and BAM, a table/form/css is created, just like that.
only thing i really use is the color formatted code.. that makes the difference for me over notepad! oh yea.. and notepad messes up the code formatting alot.. :/
