How much would I pay for your portfolio?

Hey fellow Artist(s)! smile.gif
I enjoy viewing artistic masterpieces and collecting them,
so lets have a fun for the day!
simply leave a message here, and I'll tell you how much wuld I pay for your artwork

On photography I will give a rating on professional basis, and on others I would provide them as a Consumer/Client/Public Response point of view wink.gif

-20$: You'd have to pay me to stick it up.
0$: Great freebies for the wall!
20$: Wow not bad, ill spare 20 bucks for it.
50$: Now this is great, worth every single bucks.
100$: YOU HAVE TO SELL ME THIS ART!
500$: ID DO ANYTHING TO GET THIS PIECE!

And please, no hard feelings, I will be completely honest, if you would mind getting a $-20 then don't leave a message here. It will all be in opinion form, and bias-ed to my liking.

The money form and amount is not a direct figure, just a numerical to represent the ratings smile.gif

Results:
$-20: 0
$0: 1
$20: 0
$50: 1
$100: 2
$500: 0

Well, mine is a bit different than most. Usually running about $20 per plate. An average guest will buy this particular plate 8 times so I guess you could say my "picture" is worth $160 a plate. Per individual. I would like to hear what everyone else has to say though.

For your artworks (just one at random) Magna Kvist-Louise, while it is not something I would hang in my room or house I would hold it on a different scale. Lets say for something more practical like modeling for... clothes. While this picture would really be worth hundreds of thousands to them I believe you could sell anyone of your pictures for $1k and upwards for personal gain. Thats a company however that is using it for their gain so this venture would be worth it. For myself or someone who doesn't use these images for profit you are looking more in the $100-$500 range. Like I said earlier I wouldn't purchase this myself but as an artist I have an eye for quality.

I would pay $500 for a whole set of dinner under your creations, and i'd pay 100$ for the pictures. theyre beautifully arranged, and gives me the urge to devour them right away! i can even start to smell the cilantro and shrimp from here.

You make a compliment so hard to comprehend! haha. But thats what make you one out of a million. Thanks buddy! id have to say it out that the pricing and the "id want to buy it" is just a fun-measurement material and leveling smile.gif

biggrin.gif I thank you most dearly! My compliment was kinda sucky I know haha. I am in the middle of writing a paper so I am writing a little deeper than I normally would. All I was saying was it is worth WAY more than the $500 depending on who was looking at it, thats just the nature of your art.

Hello!! I'm kinda new here, so pardon my mistakes if I'm making any ^^' I would like to know what you think about my photos, it's not really a matter of how much you would pay, I would really like some thoughts/opinions on them. I'm not a true photographer, but more of a artist in progess ^^'. Im more of a drawer, so, if it is not a hassle, would you mind looking at my photos? It's only a couple, i have some others i would like to post as well/

Welcome to artician Sarki! Sure, I'd love to!

I may not be the best Macro-Naturelle Photographer around, but I'll say that most of your photographs are halfway to macro. Get closer to the object with macro settings and equip so you can enhance it totally! Its a great start for non-professional photographer, its amazing how you know your angles and point of interests, keep up the good work! get yourself a copy of Adobe Lightroom, where you can crop and play with some effects and colour modes 10x easier than photoshop! Theyre really affordable too!

I'm impressed with your angles and object selection, i'd price your photos loads higher after you work on the foot-zoom and the colour modes smile.gif For now, its a : $0. I would like to price you $20 for your next picture, so please make sure you let me to smile.gif *can't wait to see your next upload*

Lol, no problem. Like masta, my post probably made no sense either, I was rushing haha, but there's no doubt in my mind that as a buyer I'd pay $100-500, because at 17 I have such a low budget haha. Now on the other hand, in my opinion, a professional company would pay around $500-1000 easily, the modeling and photography are all fantastic!

Welcome sarki! Hope you enjoy it here at Artician and can pick up a thing or two about photography, Artician is really a great place to learn, and photographers like Magna can totally help out as they are professionals at what they do and quite experienced! Hope you enjoy it here sarki, and if you have any questions, be sure to contact me or anyone here (everyone's friendly)!

I strongly agree with everything Magna said, but tis is not a bad thing. I know you have a natural skill within you and just need a little guidance to let your skills really shine. I however cannot offer those "pointers" but try changing your angles and get closer. I know my post is not that helpful, but I want you to really notice how important everything magna said was. If I could give you a dollar for every ounce of potential I see, I would easily put you in the highest range in this thread. At the current moment I rate at $20.

I appreciate every art in every form, except, some I can't provide professional proof or judgments, just in a public or target markets point of view. So I would be glad to view your works even without you thanking me, i should be the one giving the thanks to be given the honour to provide critique for it!

I am not an expert in Web Design or Literature, so my opinion will be in a Consumer/Client point of view.

You have an excellent professional foundation for your web-designs, I really like your colour composition in your personal website, but its lacking the extra juice i cant precisely explain, the slight touch to complete it; perhaps its the extra functions and entertainments.
I'd pay you $100 for your Web Sites.

Your writing, they have a great touch of consistency, but remember, a writing can't be consistent, it needs the 'orgasm' to entertain and stun the readers out, whilst, the whole time youre building relationship with the readers. Like "beneath the broken" is excellent, but insufficient contrast in the ending climax and at mid-point of your story i lost 20% of my interest, lacks comedy or perhaps some strong or bold sentence to refresh my attention span.
I'd pay $50 for your writing.

Huh...interesting comments, thanks. I'll have to take another look at that story then; I figured it probably lacked something, given the writing process behind it (slammed out in 30 minutes for a prompt and uploaded without editing, IE the wrong way).

Thank you so much!!! I appreciate your advice happy.gif , i'm not sure if i want to become a professional photographer, you see, i dont have one of those fancy cameras with the lenses, it's a digital camera, so the quality isn't as great, but i am striving to become a better artist. I will try editing my photos with some fun color and lighting, maybe even some photo manip wink.gif Once again, i appeciate your input! and i will let you know once i have a photo worhty of $20 smile.gif

I will give this a try although I'm a bit confuse about this topic but here goes.

How well is my "pretend" photography you think is worth? I do not focus on art (not anymore) and by that I mean is not something I am trying to improve or make a living of is just something I do to express myself freely. With that said I have given quite an interest in photography lately but I am debating whether is worth buying a professional camera or keep my one shot sony camera then use photoshop for major alterations?

I think I went a bit off-topic lol but how much my "photography" is worth you think.

Thanks :]
