First decide if you want to do art NOW! Forget learning Apps until you realize that being an artists is a competitive, low paying career. If and only if you are ok with that should you move on with the next step. So are you? Don't rush to answer ...

i'm doing marketing with a design minor.. i realized that the graphic design field is too competitive for me, so i'm trying more on the advertising side wink.gif

tbh, you don't really need to do much to get into college. Get decent grades, do well on your ACT/SAT, get letters of recommendation and your good!

"Photography is not like painting, there is a creative fraction of a second when you are taking a picture. Your eye must see a composition or an expression that life itself offers you, and you must know with intuition when to click the camera. That is the moment the photographer is creative, 'Oop! The Moment! Once you miss it, it is gone forever.' "

Don't forget that as mr. glory had mentioned design has a lot of nuances. You can go into New Media Design (publishing, commercials, web design). You could do game art, you could dive into 3D. Once your in 3D you could become the best rigger, modeler, animator, best at lightning, or scene composition. You know that one book I recommended for you, you should read it.
