What's your latest 3D Render? And what program did you render from?

Mine was an Olympus M:Robe MR-100, made in 3DS Max http://jonsta.artician.com/portfolio/MRobe-2/

Hello, fellow renderer smile.gif

Latest render is my bridge that I'd done for my major degree project, modeled in Rhino and Revit Architecture 2008.
This is the major rendering of it:

P.S. You're using the V-ray plugin in your 3DS Max to render your Olympus, am I right?

More 3ders! XD Works in progress okay? I wouldn't post anything 3d for aeons otherwise tongue.gif

Last things I rendered were test renders checking to see how the wing textures and hair on one of my characters turned out.

I'll call this the latest "render" because it sucks the least: http://ryivhnn.artician.com/portfolio/Hair-test/

Done with Lightwave, with the Sasquatch plugin for the hair.

I am going to sift through your respective galleries tomorrow morning!

Nice work folks! smile.gif

My latest: http://sabra.artician.com/portfolio/S-trapped/

Modeled and render in Cinema4D with Advanced Renderer. Hands and feet brutally ripped from a poor Poser figure. tongue.gif

Well, it's a test render, so you shouldn't say it sucks smile.gif because it's a work-in-progress - and it's still good for a test-render biggrin.gif (my test renders are plain bad...hard-edged brutality LOL)

In the mean time, it's good to see 3D works being posted here! I enjoyed looking through all the works biggrin.gif Keep 'em coming, people!

Lol, me too! I had Vue years ago but it was the first one to go when both Cinema4D and Photoshop started getting more expensive in their updates.

I gave up on Photoshop, too much money for too much program considering what I was using it for. I found Pixelmator to be plenty sufficient for my needs and a hell of a lot nicer on the wallet considering I do spend a bit upgrading Lightwave when I can afford to smile.gif

Rendered with VRay 1.5 SP2 (I wish I had SP3 though, wanted to use the volumetric fog sad.gif )

I considered dropping PS when CS2 came out but I've been using it for almost ten years now and I'm a sucker. smile.gif I made the unfortunate mistake back then and decided to drop Corel Painter. Only two more months of saving and I can hopefully afford that one again and never abandon it in my life. tongue.gif

Great render man, reflections look a little low on AA but it's a great model. I don't know how volumetric fog works in SP but in Cinema4D it increases my render times insanely, so I generally do stuff like fog in Photoshop.

I've been using Photoshop since v5 (however long ago that was), I understand the addiction XD

Good luck saving up for Corel Painter. Have you ever tried/considered GIMP or Artrage or (if you're on a Mac) Pixelmator as Photoshop replacements or are you a poweruser? smile.gif

Yes, I got Artrage some time after it was released and I've been loving it ever since. I just hardly consider it a purchase because it's so incredibly cheap! *shame* smile.gif It's really a wonderful piece of software. But I miss the incredible diversity of Painter's brushes, especially the Brush Maker, when it comes to watercolor there is no better application.

I'm a software junkie...my girlfriends buy shoes the way I buy software tongue.gif

@Sabra: Thanks! smile.gif I don't know how the fog works either, I haven't been able to have a look, but there was a launch event here and it seems that they've improves the speed of VRay a lot, and it renders almost instantly even on a laptop! ohmy.gif Maybe the laptop had like a million CPUs though, I dunno tongue.gif

@Abhay: Sounds good, I'm still looking into getting Vray for Cinema4D but I'm not sure yet. If anyone here has Vray, post some fog renders and specs!
