Message System

Just wanted to make a few suggestions for the message/comments system.

1) Delete comments (userpage, portfolio and blog) from your Comments Manager without them being deleted from your main userpage. This confused me greatly on my first day when I went to delete all my comments I had read/replied to and then all the comments on my userpage went Bye-Bye! I like a clean and tidy inbox and I'm sure others do as well...it'd be nice to clean out the messages without fear of them being deleted permanently from the site.

2) Reply to comments on your portfolio/userpage/blog from your Comments Manager. I think this would streamline the site a bit more and promote responses. I was replying to comments on my artwork today and had to open 3 tabs to make all my replies. I think it would work better to have the option of replying on 1 tab...your Comments Manager tab.

3) Make it possible to reply to comments on your userpage. Currently when you reply to a comment on your userpage it takes you to their userpage to make your comment. This seems counterintuitive and seems to break up the convo a bit for me. For example, I recently made a comment on someones page and they replied back with a comment on my page but I had no idea what that comment was in reference to until I tracked down my original comment on their page.

4) Notifications in your Comments Manager that you have received replies on your forum threads, ESPECIALLY if you've been quoted.

Basically I'd like to see the Comments Manager be a one stop area on the site to read and reply to ALL comments to you...whether that be a comment on your portfolio, blog, userpage or a reply to you in the forums. You would then be able to delete all msg's from your Comments Manager without fear of permanent deletion. Artician staff could also make community announcements and such.

Ajax comments are pretty and would solve all those problems! Though hopefully won't lengthen the bug list

I agree with all these suggestions.

The ability to reply to blog posts at your blog would be a lifesaver also.

To streamline the message centre some more, implement the ability to reply to all comments, favourites etc. in the same tab, navigating via message categories (blog reply, portfolio comment, profile comment, favourite, watch etc.)

It would be nice also to be alerted when people have responded to posts you have commented on. I have everything selected in the settings page but not getting notifications even to threads I started, so I'm having to trawl through my discussions list and physically go to the page to see whether or not there have been further comments. I'm patient though, and I'm sure this will be ironed out

Yuuup. I was browsing the forum searching if a suggestion like this exists and if not, sending it.
Is so... troublesome and annoying the fact that when anybody comments you on your profile, or on a photo and you want to reply him, you are sent to their profile page to comment! >_<
On this way, the conversation rhythm is broken. It made difficult to follow the conversation thread, specially if the conversation last more that "anybody comment --> you answer their comment". This behavior is so frustrating and only discourages me from comment ;_;
When you reply a comment anywhere (profile, on a photo, on a literature text, on a blog), your comment should be attached to the replied comment, not sent far away of it >_<
