So we have just completed the "Portfolio Sets" feature. This basically allows you to create, and manage custom sets of work within your portfolio. The interface is very easy to use, and drag and drop features allow you to easily drag around your work into custom sets that you create. You can also set the preferred order of your sets by dragging them above or below each other. Lastly, renaming a set is simple, just click on the title and it will become editable.

From now on, when submitting new work you will have the option of choosing a set to submit it too as well. Hope everyone enjoys the new feature, I certainly found it useful...

There's also gonna be some front end changes which will change how submissions are displayed in your portfolio in relation to sets.

Reply to comments for submissions is also 'almost' done. I'm actually working on it now. Trying to get it done for alpha admin only testing all day tommorow (that ussually means the feature will be released within a day or two).

As much as I think replying to comments are cool, I hope it doesn't cause what it did on dA. People not checking out your work, or visit your user page and such. Just my 2 cents worth.

Could you elaborate a bit? I'm not really part of the dA community since I'm a coder mainly so I don't see the correlation but I'd love some insight into it.

Well, I would love some feedback on my work just as much as the next guy, and when someone comments on a piece of mine, I go to their user page and return the favour. Now I know most people don't do that, but there are still a fair amount that do. I fear that even the individuals that do this will just fall into the "Thanks" reply routine and never go to look at the work of the person that commented on theirs.

A bit childish of me? Perhaps. Like I said, just my two cents worth. smile.gif

well about the Porftolio Sets. very nice feature, but I guess I've discovered a bug: The Sets-Link on the profile page doesn't disappear after deleting all the sets.

I think the "portfolio sets" are to organize your art more in categories but you can still see all of your artwork just by clicking "portfolio". I still manage to check other peoples work that have drop me a comment but I still don't fully understand your message... I know in Devianart many people just give thanks and drive away. Actually the majority of people do, 90%? but yeah.....

This feature is helping me organize my web/pho/traditional work which is great because in different sites I known for different art forms so thanks for this feature biggrin.gif
