Recipes (with photos!) and journalism

Two suggestions that would blow deviantart into zombie-fodder:

Recipe section. I know it sounds tacky. But, good old fashioned recipes, with pictures -- I think it's a recipe for success. Pun intended.

Second: need to have a journalism section of literature. In styles, or in non-fiction. Journalism and literature are two very different things and a section should exist exclusively for the latter.

Recipes. Some Journalism recognition. That is all.

Or, even, the ability to combine both sides of journalism -- the writing and the photos. Now, that would be stellar.
Quite incredible, actually.

Long as it's a good kind of journalism. I hate sensationalist tabloid bullshit, I don't care if it "sells" and the rest of the world is stupid enough to buy it wink.gif

Recipes would be good. I love food porn.

As far as I know - he rights local news, interviews, etc.

How cool would it be to have things like an interview with a 4 star general in your portfolio?
He has done that - he just doesn't have a place to put that right now.

That would be super...

Perhaps artician finds a way to display pdf-files. They're easy to make, with OpenOffice or Photoshop and can hold so much different kinds of content, graphics, text, tables, photos, etc.

That would be cool, however, more cool would be including the photos with the story and being able to add captions to said photos. I think, although PDF or some such is, again, cool, the first and foremost is not something so complicated. AKA, I'm not going back through my portfolio and turning everything into PDFs and formatting and etc. -- especially when the chance is, it looks more like a newsletter. Embedding pictures into the flow of the text or putting them to one side, at the bottom, or some such, with captions. Seriously, I would be happy. Including video and audio with these stories? Holy moly, you might have a slew of journalism students swarming the site for class projects.
