I just thought it would be pretty cool if when submitting a picture user would have an option to submit secondary pics that relate to the main one. For instance it could be either stages of that piece(making of), different color schemes of the original, different camera angles, wireframes, and etc. It probably wouldn't be rated and could be accessed from the main submition's page.

Hmmm, That is a good suggestion, but I believe the solution it already available. The reason we provide an archive upload file is so you can zip or rar up any project files you want to associate with the submissions, This way you can really attach anything you want happy.gif

I for one would like the ability to just upload multiple files and view them like a slideshow, so I don't have to download a complete archive of screenshots ;-)

Oh and why do you convert nice quality png files to files that seem to differ in resolution and quality? :-)

Kevin, I think Eric mentioned this a lil' bit ago (correct me if I'm wrong), but they convert so that the file is only so large so that everyone can view it and you don't have to scroll, you can look at it as a whole. If you download the file, then the original resolution and quality are there.

Yes good question Kevin. For things like photography, users might upload huge resolution images, so when the user full-views it may take a while to load, and would only fit a quarter of the huge photos in your browser. Right now we tell the script if the image is over 1000px in width then make the zoom in preview at 1000px width, while being able to download the original, perhaps we should increase this size by a few hundred pixels. Maybe like 1200px, or 1400px.

I guess we should make it bigger....think that will fix a lot of the issues. Cause sometimes, someone won't upload a huge image, but it's over 1000px in width, lets say like 1200px in width. Then the script will resize it, only by a bit, so the size isn't a big difference but the quality is..

Maybe correcting the script by just a few hundred pixels wouldn't be too bad, since the majority aren't too big. But maybe if you explore this idea that if the script reads that it is over the size you would like, you could put a footnote or somewhere easily read that it isn't the original due to a 'certain reason' and that the original could be downloaded.
