I like this idea. I also like the idea of stats to see where -- if at all -- our stuff has been shared (if not for everyone, maybe as a "pro" feature?). And for those who don't have a problem with sharing in general, but want more of a say-so over where certain pieces get shared, I think a check-off menu with a list of sites is best (if that makes sense).
I also love that the admins here are willing to listen and talk it out with the membership. (glares at other corners of the internets...)
