Upgrade the favs?

My humble opinion is that favs are good, but they could use some upgrading. Favs don't give much information to the artist without a comment and sadly many don't comment. What comes to my mind would be an easy two clicks faving. Click one: fav. Click two: pick up the biggest reason for faving from these examples given (composition, colours, theme, etc. etc.). And the artist could see some sort of index of given favs and reasons. It would give more to the artist and would not be too much work for either criticizer or artist.

Personally I like advanced comments and critic more, but this would give a new meaning to favs. biggrin.gif

Not sure it would be possible to list all the reasons why someone would fav something smile.gif

I wonder if it would encourage people to actually comment if after they fav something they get a little ajaxy pop up thingi asking them what they liked best about the piece or something to that effect, which could be skipped if the critter was that lazy wink.gif

Everything is a matter of perception.

Sure it isn't possible to list all the reasons, and that I didn't mean smile.gif. Lets say that there would only be the basic picture components, colour, composition, theme. Gives information to the artist but doesn't take away the prize of good critique. If all your pieces are faved because of the colours, then maybe you could focus more on composition? I'm just trying to get up some ideas for artist to get feedback. Since, I really could use some comments and advanced critique and most of the comments one gets are "I like this". biggrin.gif

And if critter is lazy enough to skip the second klick, I don't really think he/she is going to give any advanced critique either tongue.gif.
