YM automatically closed

Hello guys. I have problem with Yahoo Messenger. Everytime I try to open it, my laptop will reject it. I mean, it will automatically closed. I've scanned for virus, reinstalled the YM, I even reformatted my laptop. Still can't be solved. Currently i'm using YM Webmessenger but I don't really like webmessenger. Can anyone help?

does this happen when u hover over the YM icon or just when u run it? and do you have the current up-to-date version?

It closes the moment I want to click the sign in button. I love MSN too but haven't use it for a long time. It's okay then. I rarely use messenger except when friends want to send over their files (assignments, etc) or ask me questions about computer. Just trying to find a way to solve this problem, in case, friends need me over there.
