OK so I want to setup a section on my site for stocks/textures etc. nothing complex like with comments just view and download hehe What is the best php script u guys can recommend.

I don't know PHP, but I do know there are lots of scripts for it Here. Hope that helps a little =]

Nothing free that I've seen recently would live up to my standards so *shrug*. I don't like recommending random scripts but the functionality you want should be fairly easy to find and test. Just play with a few and you'll find what you want.

You are best off using a CMS like wordpress, or drupal. All these php content management systems have plenty of plugins that can do what you need. See more at:

I would highly recommend Wordpress. It is not only for blog but you can tweak it and use it for almost anything. But you've decided, so go on with your choice. Just a sincere opinion from me.

If you need to utilize javascript, use the prototype.js framework and scriptaculous

They work together, this is what Artician uses, along with other sites like apple.com, etc...

You can do some nifty effects with scriptaculous. But yeah these libraries pretty much will do whatever you need
