So, I stand up and declare myself an Apophysic. Not an Apoholic: those too intimately entwined with alcohol are termed 'alcoholics'; the program is Apophysis, NOT Apohol. 'Apophysisic' is too much of a mouthful, hence the tidier coinage. But to distinguish the adjectival from the nominal, I fancy a 'k': I am Apophysick, but AN Apophysic. Right, addiction admitted. Yet the art doesn't all perhaps look typically fractal: do I process the hell out of it? No. Pretty much everything is accomplished within Apophysis. I have developed styles that approach traditional abstracts, yet still retain the hallmark recursion of the fractal when scrutinised. I have a need to push the boundaries of the possible into fresh territories. No works I submit here will be earlier than 2007. The majority will be new, now, the cream of my output.
