for some time i've been wanting a way to continue writing and reading about what i studied in college, which also happens to be something i live day to day as a tattooed woman. we live in the age of blogging, so i thought this could perhaps be the best no-risk all-reward way to do that while also sharing it with people who might also be interested.

it isn't a tattoo blog, it's a cultural survey. it won't be a place to find awesome photos of tattooed girls or design ideas, or portfolios of awesome tattoo artists from all over. there's lots of those already. it's meant as a resource (either through my content or, more realistically, via my works cited at the end of posts) for cultural analysis and information for people both within and outside of the subculture and lifestyles of being modified that spans both history and current events. i started with an excerpt from my thesis.

it's something i'm going to enjoy putting together so i hope it's something you will enjoy reading if you choose to follow my posts
