Don't look now but consumers are actually starting to latch on to the idea of solar energy. After many years of listening to so-called experts tell us how solar would never be a viable form of energy at the consumer level, the transition to the end user market appears to be in full swing. The recent popularity of solar powered garden lights has both retailers and manufacturers of solar technology chomping at the bit to cash in on this uncharted territory. Sales have increased by leaps and bounds as shoppers have responded favorably to the ease of installation and dropping prices on do-it-yourself solar lighting kits. These convenient little money savers have been a huge hit as more and more high quality products have come to market. Solar garden lights, spotlights, and landscape lighting have been the best seller so far this season.
