Thu Oct 2, 2008, 5:03 PM

Dear People who will bother to read this,

Something has come to my attention and I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing.

My mom seems to be addicted to Yayoi.

And I think I caused it.

Let me explain; it was just one of those typical days. I was going to my favorite book store (the only book store in my area) Borders. My mom and sister were coming as well. It was right after x-mas and I was excited because for the first time in my life I got gift cards- lots of them. (See bugging people does work! ^^) So I thought I would fill up on my very limited manga collection.

Of course taking my mother anywhere is pretty risky. She is likely to mock or tease items in a store. I don't mind this, cause most of the stuff being mocked has every reason to be mocked, but it's kind of different when we go to a book store. Of course the romance section just had to be RIGHT next to the manga section. So of course I had to watch (Or avoid) my mom as she had to point out the more flashy book covers.

I was just lucky she became bored with it and started to move to HER book section.

As most manga junkies are (I'm just guessing) I got a few books I was missing and scanning through possible books I might buy. This can take a while, cause they all look good to me.

Seeing how me and my sister were taking so long, my mom comes by and starts mocking the manga books. I wasn't insulted just- it's hard to explain, cause the books she was mocking was nothing! So just to make her shut up, I grabbed a random Yayoi book and showed it to her.

Of course I didn't know it was a really NAUGHTY Yayoi book. One of those 18 and older ones. I later realized the rest of the series was sealed- never a good thing.

So my mom is shocked, she wouldn't even let me look at the book. She has shown me a few horrific things in my time, but I guess this was bad.

Apparently - after hours of grilling- my mom can not look at a bathroom stall, a school desk and a back seat of a car the same way again. She also made a comment about sex scenes every three pages.

After that little incident, my mom would insist on me finding her some Yayoi. Of course she was to mock them, but she insisted on the really NAUGHTY ones. Whenever she does this, I pretend not to know her.

Yet, what makes me think she is addicted to it, is because a few days ago, she had gotten her hands on a naughty book and was reading it for about fifteen minutes.

It was kind of unsettling. I mean, usually she would mock and put down. Not this one, she was INTERESTED in this one.

When we got home, she shared with me the INTERESTING details. She was still mocking as she was informing me, but you never know.

So that is my story.

Overall, my mom is weird.

I just wonder what will happen to me when I'm forty.

-Senko
